We hired a representative to express how happy we are at graduating, she dun gud y'eard?

First of all, YAY!? We have officially finished University and have been released back into the wild. We’ve had a lot of radio silence on the website for a few months, mainly due to studying so hard, and then back deep into projects both publicly known ones and privately known ones. To say we’ve been swamped is an understatement. However, we’re happy and working hard for our bread and being passionate as ever about all the amazing projects we’re involved in.

Some of them you will be aware of, and keep watching the projects page, as I have updated the formatting of it now, and each game project will gain a nice full page of content and audio previews too, and that will include from the A.R.E.S OST plus the Dust OST also, so watch out for that. Before I forget, a little hype trailer for A.R.E.S before it is released on PC and XBLA:

Trailer for A.R.E.S (XBLA Title):

What else? Well, we are working with Howard Day on his game Absent Eden at the moment, and a few other people who we are not going to make publicly known yet but you will know them well, since their previous game was quite successful in the XBIG market I believe, I know I bought it when it came out! That and a bunch of smaller projects, I think we will be working pretty hard for the next month at least before we can take a breath, but rest assured the updates will begin coming again, both here and then from the little random blog on the side at http://hyperduckmusic.tumblr.com !

Also, we recently did an interview with Gamercide.org!

Click the image and go check it out, should be the most recent post on their page, it has a little teaser from some of the A.R.E.S OST at the end of it as well. A trailer at E3 was released for Dust: An Elysian Tail! And we were in it! Visually and Aurally! Hell yeah! Check that out below:

Aside from that, we’re just glad to be back and talking again, so more useful updates to come in time!

Amazing!

We cannot believe it (well we can, Extend Studios are an amazing team, and we consider them more friends than people we just work with. Working with them is just one of the many high points of being part of this games life up to now. Special consideration was taken to the aspect of implementation with the music and sound effects, in terms of cut scenes and what not, so we have the entire team, their amazing programmer, lead artist, and Pop (Nenin the project leader), to thank :) We love you guys very much!

I’m going to update this with more information soon, as to when the PC release date of A.R.E.S is due, and when we’ll be bringing out the OST of A.R.E.S as well! Also, we will be releasing a little teaser of the music later today through this post, so keep an eye on it as I will update it in a few hours

Chris.

We’re going to start releasing some of our works on dropbox.com, means you guys can get high quality versions of the works we’ve done. Not sure what will be next in line, but my guess is that it’ll probably be the Katakijin OST we completed last June 2009. Production methods on it are quite different from what we are using now, consider it a ninja take on Iji. KatakIJIn if you will.. or won’t.

Anyway, above is the unedited OST from Zero Gear by http://nimblebit.com (find and buy the game on steam or through the kind NimbleBit folk on http://myzerogear.com). You can find most of this on our youtube, but I figured if people actually enjoy it, that they might want this to hold onto the music. If you do love it, and support it for us, we thank you, we are nothing without your support but a pair of ugly ducks.

Anyway, we will continue to update this dropbox sector we have now with OST packs and other random gems :) So keep an eye on our twitter or here, and you shall receive the goodies!

Peace.
Chris.

Yeah it’s true, we got asked about getting permission to remix the music we did for Iji a while back for a game called Indie Brawl

Now we’ve never actually had that request before, and since it came at a time we were thinking of remixing something of our own (i.e. Iji since all the other stuff is only being released now and that’d be silly), we thought we’d do it. So we did. And here it is.

Download it in High Quality here! (just take it!)

Iji OST Remake:

Since we plan on remaking the entire Iji Original Soundtrack during the summer/fall and selling it for a tiny price on our website (helps power the cogs in our basements, and buys our sandwiches on sandwich Thursday, feels awkward going to those sandwich groups without a piece..), we’re hoping that maybe some of the Iji fans can give insight into how much they’d happily pay for a full high quality remade Iji soundtrack, if anything at all!

It’ll be like this, only higher quality, since this isn’t just a contract job, this is a dedication to the music lovers who enjoyed our work on the Iji OST, as long ago as it was. We’ve grown a lot since then, and are significantly better at what we do now, so the Iji Remake will be something you will want if you still are fond of the old, low quality over compressed tracks we made when we were really noobish, we’re still noobish, just we don’t compress things so hard!

A.R.E.S

Well we’ve recently just finished up the music and sound effects for A.R.E.S, release date is unknown at the moment, but things are going according to plan on our side and over in Thailand with the Extend Studios team. It is really progressing so a release on the PC could be seen within the next few months, however the final word will come from the creators at Extend Studios. There won’t be any previews of the post-demo music as far as we know, however there may be another trailer in the mix before release.. but who knows.

Soundtrack Remix?

Should the game soundtrack receive positve feedback, there is high consideration from the HyperDuck Music Studio to remix the entire thing to the extent it is album worthy and put it on the websit for a small price. This will only be determined by the support we gain from it, so stay tuned on that note.

More artwork is viewable on their website! And any other updates we get shall be fed here! Stay chubby with newsfeed. Yummy and chubby..

Dust: An Elysian Tail! Winner of the Microsoft Dream Build Play 2009! Has now become our main project following in 2010. We’re closely working with Dean Dodrill, the great guy behind this entire game. It’s great working with Dean on this project, and we hope that the enjoyment we are getting from it is reflected in the final release of Dust.

Anyway, we will keep updating news on Dust progress as it comes.  We’re working with Uni load and Dust materials at the same time, so updates may be erratic! Though we’re erratic, oh yes.. erratic.. aquatic.
